2 tbsp reduced salt butter or margarine
1 cup baby's usual milk
2 tbsp plain flour
½ cup water
½ cup reduced salt vegetable stock
1 cup cheese, grated
4 cups macaroni, cooked
1 tbsp breadcrumbs
Preheat oven to 180°C. Melt butter in saucepan over low heat. Add flour and cook for one minute, stirring constantly. Gradually add the milk, stir continuously. Gradually add water, stock and half of the grated cheese and cook for a few minutes.
Pour cooked macaroni into saucepan, stir until combined. Pour into baking dish and sprinkle with breadcrumbs and remaining cheese. Bake in oven for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
