Gingerbread Christmas Trees and Stars

25 Biscuits


250g plain flour
100g or 17 scoops of S-26 ALULA GOLD TODDLER powder
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
2 tsp ground ginger
100g unsalted butter
50g sugar
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp golden syrup
2 tbsp orange juice
1 egg, beaten


Combine the flour, S-26 GOLD TODDLER powder, bicarbonate of soda and ginger in a bowl. Rub in the butter to make fine breadcrumbs. Stir in the sugar. Add honey, golden syrup, beaten egg and orange juice. Bind ingredients together and knead on a floured surface until smooth. Roll out until 1/4 inch thick. Cut out cookies and place on a lightly buttered baking sheet. Bake in the oven at 150°C for 15 minutes or until lightly brown. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Tip: Decorate cookies with piped icing as desired by mixing 5 tbsp icing sugar with ½ tbsp water.
